I spent about 1 week at Hong Kong, exploring the island mainly looking for vegetarian food! keke.. Thanks to the veggie list such as this http://www.veg.org.hk/shops/vegilist.htm
The first dinner I had in HK was at this restaurant called 素食坊, located at West Central - West Queen St. 西 環- 皇后大道西 216 號. Had spent about 45 minutes searching for this location! Luckily my bro's gf brought us a prepaid phone card so that I can make local call. It's really cheap to call local. I made one call to the restaurant asking for the direction! It was fortunate too that I could speak Cantonese - cuz me Msian, hehe. Guess my hubby - Singaporean would have a hard time getting his way out from the maze as he understands zero canto!
Ok, back to the restaurant , it was simply a small and crowded one, but I guess it was quite a popular restaurant as I saw a Hong Kong actor waiting in the queue too.. Well, not a popular HK actor but I could recognise him, though I never bother to know what's his name! hehe..
Food wise, since it was the first day in HK and it was already pretty late - 8+, we did not really go through what's in the menu and decided to get a set dinner for 3pax. It came with a big bowl of sharkfin soup, one fried yam fish, one big serving of stir fry enoki with vegetables. I think the portion is SOOO BIGGG. We had a very full dinner, and I realised that eating in HK is never cheap! Then we decided for our next makan, we would order servings for 2 pax which is definitly sufficient for 3 person, keke.
